FINANCIAL ANALYST

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with focus on either Finance or Accounting.
REQUIREMENTS: Manages and supports the development and maintenance of financial database repositories through the extraction of financial data from a variety of systems and insures the integrity of the data. Develops sophisticated reports to provide comprehensive data for analysis by Accounting leadership and personnel. Develops integrated solutions to problems and innovative ideas for data reporting enhancements. Initiates alternatives for process and system enhancements or implementations, evaluates trade-offs, and helps select best alternative for analyzing data. Coordinates efforts with VVRMC Information Services staff to develop and maintain any required interfaces between data sources (e.g. Payroll,G/L,A/P,etc.) Represents Accounting Office at project meetings and other relevant forums. Insure all security and hardware/software standards are followed. Manages the development of appropriate project work plans utilizing standard Accounting/IS departmental methodologies, which includes detailed tasks for the pre and post project implementation, target dates for completion of projects as prioritized by the Accounting Office department. Researches new vendor software and enhancements and evaluates functionality as it relates to the user's needs. Completes other duties assigned.
EXPERIENCE: Must have a minimum 4 years of financial analytical experience. Experience with the industry standard report writing capabilities and industry standard database technologies is required and a high degree of knowledge of Accounting Office operations is desired. Proficient in Microsoft Access, Excel, Business Objects, Docu-Analyzer and other information systems.
