Critical Care Nurse Manager 

Status:  Full Time

Education:  Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.  Bachelors Degree, or current enrollment in a program.  Current RN Licensure in the State of Texas. Current ACLS & BCLS certification. CCRN certification preferred.

Requirements:  Responsible for direction of patient care in the critical care setting.  Manages staff members in the ICU and Special Procedures Lab.  Consults with staff, physicians and Nurse Executive on nursing problems and interpretation of hospital policies to ensure patient needs are met.  Maintains performance improvement activities within the department and participates in CQI activities.  Assists in formulating budget. 

Experience:  3 or more years of experience in all aspects of critical care nursing.  Successful completion of a critical care course. Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.  Additional languages preferred.  Strong written and verbal skills.  Basic computer knowledge.
